As Alzheimer’s Drugs Continue to Fail, Researchers Search for Reasons Why Coconut Oil Cures Alzheimer’s

A group of New York City’s Mt. Sinai Medical School researchers set out to analyze why and how coconut oil affects Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) patients favorably. They acknowledged some efficacy from coconut oil, and they wanted to know more. Since most drug trials to develop an Alzheimer's drug have failed miserably, the motivation to study coconut oil in order to understand how it positively affects AD was probably motivated by a desire to patent a new drug that could work similar to coconut oil, a natural food that cannot be patented. Their research was based on earlier animal studies of virgin coconut oil’s effect on mouse models of coconut oil as well as other in vitro (lab culture) studies. The researchers also acknowledged the existence of many anecdotal testimonies of AD (Alzheimer’s disease) patients. The Mt. Sinai report was published in the journal Science Direct, Brain Research with the title: Coconut oil decreases expression of amyloid precursor protein (APP) and secretion of amyloid peptides through inhibition of ADP-ribosylation factor 1 (ARF1).

Study: Virgin Coconut Oil Improves the Microbiome and Fights Diabetes

A new study published in the journal Plant Foods for Human Nutrition on August 31, 2018, with the title Beneficial Effect of Virgin Coconut Oil on Alloxan-Induced Diabetes and Microbiota Composition in Rats adds further proof that virgin coconut oil is a powerful remedy for diabetes. In this latest study, virgin coconut oil was shown to be beneficial to the microbiome by increasing probiotic bacteria, leading to better outcomes for those suffering with diabetes. This new research confirms what many have reported to us over the past 15 plus years, that virgin coconut oil is beneficial in overcoming both Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes. This new study offers a possible explanation as to how virgin coconut oil helps people with Type 1 diabetes without directly affecting insulin levels.

Why Coconut Oil, or Any Saturated Fat, Cannot Raise Cholesterol Levels (LDL levels)

Scottish medical doctor, Malcolm Kendrick, has just written a brilliant expose on his blog explaining, scientifically, why it is impossible for saturated fats to raise LDL cholesterol levels. As I have written many times over the years, this is the kind of information that can save your life and help you make wise dietary choices, but it is information that the U.S. government, Big Pharma, and the corporate-sponsored "mainstream" media cannot afford to publish. Because to do so would be to admit guilt in one of the biggest medical scams of all time: the lipid theory of heart disease. This theory, which has been proven scientifically to be false, has been an economic success for cholesterol-lowering statin medical drugs, the most profitable class of medical drugs all time. This theory also promotes the low-fat diet which encourages consumption of carbohydrates from U.S. subsidized crops, as well as polyunsaturated oil, also derived from U.S. subsidized crops. This theory of heart disease, which condemns cholesterol and saturated fat, has probably been responsible for many millions of people's early deaths and the life-long suffering of autoimmune diseases for an entire generation.

More Research Published Supporting Coconut Oil’s Claim to Heal Alzheimer’s Disease

In May, 2018, I wrote about a new study published in Iran that looked at the "neuroprotective effects" effects of virgin coconut oil for Alzheimer's patients. The title of the study is Virgin coconut oil (VCO) by normalizing NLRP3 inflammasome showed potential neuroprotective effects in Amyloid-β induced toxicity and high-fat diet fed rat and was published in the journal Food and Chemical Toxicology. While we have been publishing reports of coconut oil reversing the symptoms of Alzheimer's Disease and other neurological diseases for several years now, we believe this was the first peer-reviewed study to actually look at some of the mechanisms of how coconut oil benefits Alzheimer's patients. Now, a second peer-reviewed study has been published here in 2018 looking at the mechanisms of how coconut oil positively affects Alzheimer's patients. Published in the journal, Neurochemical Research, researchers in Japan examined the effects of lauric acid, the most predominant medium chain fatty acid found in coconut oil, on activated microglia in mice. Coconut oil is nature's richest source of lauric acid at about 50% of its composition, and human breast milk comes in a distant second at around 6% lauric acid. The title of the study is Lauric Acid Alleviates Neuroinflammatory Responses by Activated Microglia: Involvement of the GPR40-Dependent Pathway.

Study: Coconut Oil and Other Natural Products Kill Antibiotic Resistant Clostridium Difficile

With the rise of antibiotic resistant pathogens, researchers are turning their attention to natural products in hopes of finding cures outside of the patented pharmaceutical paradigm for fighting disease. In a study just published in Journal of Applied Microbiology, Australian researchers studied 22 natural products and their ability to inhibit the spore cycle of Clostridium difficile. Clostridium difficile (C. diff) is mostly incubated in hospital settings, is antibiotic resistant, and very contagious. It can create life-threatening inflammation of the colon. The Australian researchers tested 22 natural products in vitro, and found that three of them "showed inhibitory effects on sporulation of C. difficile. Effects on sporulation, determined using microscopy and a conventional spore recovery assay, showed that fresh onion bulb extract (6.3% v v-1 ) and coconut oil (8% v v-1 ) inhibited sporulation in all four isolates by 66-86% and 51-88%, respectively, compared to untreated controls. Fresh ginger rhizome extract (25% v v-1 ) was also inhibitory, although to a lesser extent."

New Studies Show Coconut Oil Helps Combat Stress and Anxiety and is Heart Healthy

Two peer-reviewed studies published recently (March of 2018) continue the trend of showing coconut oil's health benefits and debunking the official USDA government nutrition dogma that saturated fats are bad for one's health. The first study, published in the journal Food & Function, shows evidence that coconut oil helps combat stress and anxiety. The second study, published in the British Medical Journal, compared diets consuming mainly coconut oil, olive oil, or butter, and concluded that coconut oil significantly lowered C reactive protein, a marker of inflammation, and had positive blood lipid profiles in those consuming coconut oil as their main dietary oil.

Natural and Non-toxic Options for Treating Hepatitis C or Liver Inflammation

The Hepatitis C virus (HCV) is called the "Dragon" because it can infect humans and remain dormant for 20 years or more, then awaken as an aggressive foe to attack its host. Thus, Hepatitis-C is considered a future epidemic among baby-boomers who went through the 1960s and got infected from blood transfusions or self injecting drug experiments with shared needles. Their sleeping dragons will be awakening at any time and plunging them into dire health or death. Recent "discoveries" of new ways Hep-C can be spread also makes those sleeping dragon carriers that could potentially infect others. This official medical story is guaranteed to raise revenues for Big Pharma as they produce and promote, even on TV, their latest drugs for Hepatitis or Hep-C. Research is also underway for Hep-C vaccines. Although Hep-C can easily develop into cirrhosis requiring a liver transplant, a lot of the pumped up hysteria of a looming Hep-C epidemic is highly suspicious, especially since there have been several clinical and anecdotal successful Hep-C cures achieved with only dietary changes and natural supplements, including coconut oil.

Study: Coconut Oil Effective in Treating Antibiotic Resistant Pathogens

A bacterial pathogen that’s difficult to treat, which often breeds in hospitals, and also easily infects those using antibiotics or other pharmaceutical medications for gastrointestinal issues is Clostridium difficile (klos-TRID-e-um dif-uh-SEEL). This pathogenic bacterium also goes by C. difficile or C. diff, or even just CDF. As we enter the age of antibiotic resistant bacteria, which are usually developed in hospitals, causing increased death by medicine (iatrogenic), an awareness of the medicinal aspects of coconut oil has arisen through anecdotal experiences and several independent studies indicating coconut oil could be a solution for failing pharmaceutical antibiotics. A new study shows that the primary fatty acid chain in coconut oil, lauric acid, is effective in inhibiting antibiotic resistant Clostridium difficile. A combination in vitro and in vivo study was performed by researchers in Taiwan during 2017 and published in the journal Frontiers in Microbiology in January 2018 with the title: Lauric Acid Is an Inhibitor of Clostridium difficile Growth in Vitro and Reduces Inflammation in a Mouse Infection Model. The researchers noted in their full study text: “As the primary FA [fatty acid] of coconut oil is lauric acid (45–53%), it is of great interest to utilize coconut oil as a source of lauric acid. In a mouse infection model, lauric acid consumption decreased CDF-induced colon inflammation and diarrhea, supporting the hypothesis that lauric acid is a potential compound for CDF treatment.”

How Coconut Oil and Natural Remedies Can Help Control Candida Yeast Infections

Candida overgrowth or yeast infections have been on the rise over the past few decades. Mainstream medicine offers little or nothing toward resolving candida or yeast infections that have been internalized. Although mostly written about and publicized by women for women, it occurs in both men and women. Candida yeast colonies are known to sequester pollutants, heavy metals, and even cancers that develop into tumors. Controversial Italian oncologist, Dr. Tulio Simoncini, even declared that cancer is yeast. However, others maintain the candida yeast is simply an environmental symbiotic support for cancer. Perhaps over 40 million Americans suffer from various candida ailments that are discomforting precursors to worsening health. Many who are afflicted are not that aware that candida is the source of their problems. If it gets into the blood and spreads throughout the body it can become debilitating and possibly life-threatening candidosis or candidiasis. There is good research showing that coconut oil can kill Candida yeast and help prevent Candida infections.

Big Pharma’s Continued Failure to Develop an Effective Alzheimer’s Drug: Are Alzheimer’s Vaccines Next?

Coconut oil and the high-fat ketogenic diet have proven effective and safe at treating dementia, Parkinson’s disease, and Alzheimer’s. Meanwhile, the pharmaceutical industry’s continued effort at finding drugs to ameliorate Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s have been a complete failure. There’s too much potential profit in the baby-boomer-turning-seniors market for them to stop; Big Pharma’s boom with cholesterol-lowering statin drugs proved that. There are still way too many who have put their faith in modern mainstream medicine, especially among baby boomers. The next blockbuster drug revenue with Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s may be with a new Alzheimer vaccine, since vaccines introduced into the market do not need to be effective, and drug companies cannot be sued for any damages resulting from vaccines.
