The Hepatitis C virus (HCV) is called the “Dragon” because it can infect humans and remain dormant for 20 years or more, then awaken as an aggressive foe to attack its host. Thus, Hepatitis-C is considered a future epidemic among baby-boomers who went through the 1960s and got infected from blood transfusions or self injecting drug experiments with shared needles.

Their sleeping dragons will be awakening at any time and plunging them into dire health or death. Recent “discoveries” of new ways Hep-C can be spread also makes those sleeping dragon carriers that could potentially infect others.

This official medical story is guaranteed to raise revenues for Big Pharma as they produce and promote, even on TV, their latest drugs for Hepatitis or Hep-C.

Research is also underway for Hep-C vaccines.

Although Hep-C can easily develop into cirrhosis requiring a liver transplant, a lot of the pumped up hysteria of a looming Hep-C epidemic is highly suspicious, especially since there have been several clinical and anecdotal successful Hep-C cures achieved with only dietary changes and natural supplements.

A Hep-C Victim Whose Thorough Research Led to Self-Healing Book

His name is Lloyd Wright and his book is Triumph Over Hepatitis C, available from many online bookstore sources. The book contains easy reading dietary and supplement and herbal insights. Many have used the contents to guide them successfully with self-healing Hep-C, just as he did.

Wright condemned the pharmaceutical industry’s position with Hep-C. When interviewed, he disclosed that 95 percent of his consultation clients say they are up against doctors who are totally against herbs. Yet they prescribe interferon drugs that have very low success rates, accompanied by a high adverse side effect rate.

Lloyd Wright openly states he is completely against interferon, mainstream medicine’s drug of choice for Hep-C.

“I sincerely believe that the day will come when the prescribing of interferon for hepatitis will make the tobacco industry scandal pale in comparison.

Interferon is a billion dollar a year business in the US and a billion dollars goes a long way to promote itself. The best evidence I have seen on the actual success of interferon is a University study that concludes that … only 6.7% had a sustained remission for 6 months.” (Source)

In addition to having so little efficacy, interferon has a list of side effects:

  • worsening of psoriasis
  • irritability and insomnia
  • trouble breathing
  • chest pain
  • high fever and chills
  • fatigue
  • headaches
  • decreased appetite, nausea, and vomiting
  • weight loss
  • muscle aches
  • bone marrow suppression
  • weight and hair loss
  • depression and mood changes
  • decreased white blood cells and platelets
  • elevated liver enzymes
  • difficulty concentrating and impaired memory (Source)

Natural Options Available and Proven with a Clinical Trial

The liver can repair its own damage even if down to only 25 percent healthy if the right supplements, herbs, and foods are involved.

The first thing is to avoid alcohol, even social drinking. The liver is already inflamed. It doesn’t need any more fire. Ditto for over the counter pain pills that contain acetaminophen, such as Tylenol. Try natural pain relievers or medical cannabis instead.

Consume coconut oil at two to four tablespoons daily, depending on body weight, which is explained in the Editor’s Note here. Here’s a testimonial for healing Hep-C with coconut oil:

“I have hepatitis C. (…) I was only real sick form the interfuron (sic) treatment, lost my hair, and became severely anemic. That was about 6 years ago.

In the last 4 years I began nutritional regiments noted to help/heal hepatitis c. That includes flax seed oil, milk thistle, multi vitamins, and in the last 2 years- coconut oil.

My viral load was initially at 5 million- high! In the last 3 years it has gone from that to 1/20th of a million- low!

My Dr. is amazed. I feel better, more energy. (…) I believe that the coconut oil was a major ingredient that boosted this healing.” –Gay (Source)

Coconut oil is not only a powerful antibacterial, anti-fungal, and antiviral agent. It is anti-inflammatory. And the “itis” in hepatitis C describes inflammation of the liver (“hepa”). The liver loves coconut oil’s medium chain fatty acids because they’re so easily metabolized into energy instead of retained as fat.

In addition to coconut oil’s anti-microbial properties, coconut oil can help handle parasites and fungi that create digestive problems such as irritable bowel syndrome. Medium chain fatty acids in coconut oil also aid with the absorption of vitamins, minerals and amino acids, making you healthier all around.

Coconut oil has been proven to stimulate metabolism, improve thyroid function, and escalate energy levels. All of which offer a foundation and supporting cast for healing whatever ails, including autoimmune diseases, diabetes, cardiac health, neurological issues, and Hep-C. As with all super-foods and herbal remedies, the better the quality the more potent the efficacy. (Source)

Coconut oil as a medicinal dietary addition for healing Hep-C was unknown before some of these other alternative Hep-C healing strategies (featured in this article), mostly due to the fact that their discoveries came before coconut oil’s more amazing properties entered the alternative health and healing arena more recently than their experiences.

Those earlier discoveries relied on foods that could also be considered to incorporate into one’s diet, as contaminant and pesticide free as possible, to protect the liver and help it rebuild.

Each contains one or more of various bile inducing compounds, antioxidants, blood cleansers, detoxification agents, and white blood cell macrophages, which engulf and digest cellular debris, foreign substances, microbes, cancer cells, and anything else that does not have the type of proteins specific to healthy body cells:

  • Shiitake mushrooms
  • Carrots
  • Garlic
  • Dandelion greens (and there are also dandelion supplements)
  • Asparagus
  • Brazil nuts
  • Beets
  • Artichokes
  • Brewers yeast
  • Buckwheat
  • Artichokes
  • Whey protein (seek the highest quality that uses grass-fed raw milk)
  • Alfalfa
  • Broccoli (broccoli sprouts)
  • Mung beans
  • Whole grain foods that aren’t chemically influenced by excess processing

The same source of this list, a site dedicated to helping Hep-C victims, also sells three inexpensive downloadable E-books on naturally curing Hep-C – found at the bottom of this page.

Small Clinical Study Proves Extreme Efficacy and Safety of Natural Approaches for Hep-C

The Berkson Clinical study was done years ago by Dr. Burton Berkson in New Mexico with three patients suffering from Hep-C induced cirrhosis and scheduled for liver transplants. The study used only three natural compounds: Alpha-lipoic acid [thioctic acid]; silymarin (milk thistle); and selenium that possesses antiviral, free radical quenching and immune boosting qualities.

Vitamin protocols were included according to each patient’s individual needs. The study was published in only one German-speaking journal and never appeared in English language journals. That explains its obscurity until recently discovered by online alternative health site advocates. Here’s part of Dr. Berkson’s conclusion:

“The triple antioxidant combination of alpha-lipoic acid, silymarin and selenium was chosen for a conservative treatment of hepatitis C because these substances protect the liver from free radical damage, increase the levels of other fundamental antioxidants, and interfere with viral proliferation.

The 3 patients presented in this paper followed the triple antioxidant program and recovered quickly and their laboratory values remarkably improved. Furthermore, liver transplantation was avoided and … [this approach] is exceedingly less expensive.” (Emphasis added)

Case studies with dosage amounts and vitamin protocols of each individual are also included in Dr. Berkson’s clinical trial paper here.

Once again, a bloated epidemic scare promoted by the CDC demonstrates its alliance with the pharmaceutical industry and its lust for high profits. The marginalized alternative natural approaches for Hep-C have proven to be superior in efficacy and safety to the low-efficacy, high-side effect, expensive pharmaceutical drugs offered.

If diagnosed with Hep-C, avoid stressing from the fear tactics used to convince one to participate as a pharmaceutical customer while seeking natural approaches – using information from sources in this article. Stressing is a big liver killer.
